Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 14, 2025

ConnectIntelli takes your privacy seriously. We're not here to collect data for the sake of it or sell your information to the highest bidder. This policy explains what we do with your data, why we need it, and how we keep it safe. If something seems unclear, reach out. We'd rather answer questions than leave you guessing.

Information We Collect

Running a project budget management platform means we need certain information to make things work. Here's what we collect and why we actually need it.

Account Information

When you sign up, we ask for basics: your name, email address, and a password you choose. If you're setting up a company account, we'll need your business name and location details. Nothing excessive.

Project Data

The whole point of ConnectIntelli is managing budgets, so naturally we store the project information you enter. This includes budget figures, expense tracking, team member assignments, and financial reports you generate. You control what goes in.

Usage Information

We track how you use the platform. Which features get clicked, how long you spend in different sections, error messages that pop up. This helps us fix bugs and figure out what actually needs improvement versus what sounds good in theory.

Data Type Purpose Retention Period
Account Details Authentication and service delivery Active account + 2 years
Project Files Core platform functionality Until deletion requested
Usage Logs Performance improvement 90 days rolling
Payment Records Billing and legal compliance 7 years (Argentina tax law)

How We Use Your Information

We're not running a data collection hobby here. Everything we gather serves a specific purpose related to making the platform work better.

  • Providing the actual service you signed up for – budget tracking, reporting, team collaboration features
  • Sending you important updates about your account or changes to our service
  • Fixing technical problems when they crop up
  • Preventing fraud and keeping accounts secure
  • Improving features based on how people actually use them

We don't sell your data. Period. No third-party advertisers getting your information, no shadowy data brokers involved. If someone else needs access to your data, it's only because they're helping us run the service you're using.

Data Storage and Security

Your financial data lives on secure servers with encryption both in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard protocols, but let's be honest – no system is completely bulletproof. We do our best and keep improving our security measures.

Server Location: Our primary data centers are located in Argentina, with backup systems in Brazil. This keeps data within South American jurisdiction and complies with Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPA 25.326).

Access to your data is restricted. Only team members who need it for their specific job can get to it. We log access attempts and review them regularly. Two-factor authentication is available for your account and we strongly recommend turning it on.

Your Rights Under Argentina Law

Argentina's data protection framework gives you specific rights. Here's what you can actually do with your information.

Access and Portability

You can request a copy of all data we have about you. We'll provide it in a standard format within 10 business days. Want to move to a different platform? We'll export your project data in CSV or JSON format.

Correction and Deletion

Spot something wrong? You can update your account information directly through your dashboard. For deletion requests, contact us at [email protected]. We'll wipe your data within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep for tax purposes.

Objection and Restriction

You can object to certain types of data processing or ask us to restrict how we use your information. Some restrictions might limit platform functionality, but we'll work with you to find a balance.

Important: Under Argentina's PDPA, you have the right to file a complaint with the National Directorate for Personal Data Protection (DNPDP) if you believe we've mishandled your information. We'd prefer to resolve issues directly, but that option exists.

Third-Party Services

We work with a handful of external services to keep things running. Here's who gets limited access to specific data and why.

  • Payment processors handle transaction data when you pay for subscriptions. They see payment details but not your project information.
  • Email service providers deliver notifications and updates. They get your email address and message content.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers host our servers but can't access unencrypted data.
  • Analytics tools track general usage patterns without identifying individual users.

Each service signs agreements requiring them to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes. We review these partnerships annually.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Some are essential for the platform to work at all. Others help us understand which features get used most.

You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. The platform will still function, though you might need to re-enter preferences more often. We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

International Data Transfers

Most data stays within Argentina, but some services we use have servers in other countries. When data crosses borders, we ensure adequate protection through standard contractual clauses and verification that receiving countries have acceptable privacy laws.

If you're accessing ConnectIntelli from outside Argentina, your data might be processed in Argentina regardless of your location. By using our service, you agree to this arrangement.

Data Retention Periods

We don't keep data longer than necessary, but some information needs to stick around for legal reasons. Account information stays active as long as you maintain an account, plus two additional years after closure for potential disputes or inquiries.

Project data gets deleted when you request it or 90 days after account closure, whichever comes first. Financial records relating to billing must be kept for seven years to comply with Argentina tax regulations. Usage logs are automatically purged after 90 days on a rolling basis.

Children's Privacy

ConnectIntelli is designed for business use and isn't intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover we've accidentally collected information from someone under 16, we'll delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy occasionally as our practices evolve or laws change. Significant changes will be announced through email and a notice on your dashboard. The "Last Updated" date at the top tracks when we last modified anything.

Continued use of ConnectIntelli after changes means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with modifications, you can close your account before they take effect.
